As the holidays quickly approach, I realize how much I look forward to this time of the year, even though it can be stressful. The air gets crisp and cool, we get out our winter clothes, and we eat, shop and celebrate more. As Thanksgiving approaches, I know I have a lot to be thankful for.
My career with the State of Texas has been very fulfilling, as has my association with TSABAA. I have met and worked with so many great people over my 26-plus years, and I’m proud to say that a good number of those people are still a part of my life.
During my tenure with TSABAA — serving on the conference committees, as vendor committee chair and as an officer —I have seen multiple “generations” of TSABAA members. It’s a great sign that we continue to cultivate new members to carry the torch. I look forward to soon being an attendee and proudly watching future TSABAA committee members, chairs and officers successfully carry on and improve our organization. It’s hard to believe that TSABAA is 46 years old. I know it will thrive over the next 46 years.
So, as the holidays approach, think of what you are thankful for and make the most of these days with your family, friends and coworkers. Enjoy the upcoming Mid-Winter Conference, and I encourage you to get involved with TSABAA. It’s truly a great experience.
Thank you to everyone who makes our newsletter possible. David, Joni, Ann and Ben – y’all do a terrific job!
