Letter from 2018 President

Dear TSABAA members,
As always, I hope this letter finds you happy, healthy, refreshed from summer vacation and ready for legislative session.
It is unbelievable how quickly the last year has elapsed, I suppose it’s a function of my age and the number of items on the “to do” list. Even though the year passed quickly, it has been very rewarding for a variety of reasons. First, I was able to meet so many dedicated, engaging and fun individuals. I also gained a deep appreciation for the caliber of individual it takes to lead this organization or any state agency; and, finally, I am deeply inspired by the quality of employee joining the TSABAA ranks. You are energized, full of wonderful ideas, and truly intend to leave your mark and make a difference.
For those of you who attended the Annual Conference in San Antonio, I hope you found the content informational and useful. I enjoyed learning about my color characteristics and how they manifest themselves on a good or bad day. I also enjoyed hearing from Mr. Wayne Roberts, the Administrator of Year. He was certainly an inspiration. If I can be a fraction of the professional he has been, then I would consider myself to have had a successful career.
Thanks to my fellow officers who provided a tremendous amount of support and kindness this year. It has truly been an honor to work with such a high performing group of individuals – Yolanda Hall, Steven O’Shields, Lisa Nance, Elizabeth Sifuentez-Koch, Brandy Corrales and Phillip Ashley.
Finally, I offer a huge amount of appreciation to all the volunteers supporting TSABAA. Because of your time and energy, this association continues to be the best way to meet others to assist you in your professional career.
It has been an honor and a privilege to serve TSABAA, thank you. I will be forever grateful.
