Message from 2019 President

yolanda
I am incredibly excited to officially begin my term as president of TSABAA. As the incoming President for 2019, my goal is to promote the mission and objectives of the association. I am beyond honored and grateful to work with the board, committee chairs, vendors and members to make this year a historic one. This year will be one of reinventing and solidifying the strong foundation that was created in 1969. First, I would like to thank our amazing outgoing president Rebecca Trevino for her leadership and service throughout the past year.
For our current and prospective members, I want to assure you that the intention of this board is to keep the association in the forefront of our ever-changing business world. The TSABAA Board plans to grow with you and continue to provide you nothing less than the best.
This year TSABAA will be celebrating fifty years of one voice in the business arena of state government. As you know TSABAA hosts two conferences each year; mid-winter and summer. The organization also offers bimonthly meetings and one golf tournament. Each conference this year will be an extension of the next supporting our theme, “50 Years of Excellence: Powering What’s Next”. Both conferences will provide members educational opportunities, informational training, and networking with peers. Several opportunities will be available throughout the year to assist in the conference planning. I want to encourage everyone to participate. There are so many opportunities to share your knowledge and talents with our organization and help make it even better. TSABAA offers several committees that you can volunteer for:
• Conference
• Newsletter
• Membership
• Constitution and Bylaws
• Awards
• Audit
I look forward to seeing you all at the 39th Annual Mid-Winter Conference to be held at the Y.O. Ranch Hotel & Conference Center in Kerrville on December 5-7. So, mark your calendars now and enjoy a great program of speakers and networking opportunities. We are also in the early stages of planning our 50th Annual Summer Conference Celebration so be on the lookout for more details to come. It will be an amazing event!
Together we can work to power the next fifty years.
See you soon.
