The Employees Retirement System (ERS) supports state employees who have dedicated their career to supporting Texas! The Financial Systems Support team in the Finance Division is seeking an experienced Financial Systems Support Analyst to perform highly complex accounting, technical, and functional work to support the automated financial systems in the Finance Division. Essential Functions includes, but is not limited to:

  • Defines business requirements, develops test plans, implements changes and provides user support for the following software:
    • Eagle Investment Systems
    • Finance Investment Accounting
    • PeopleSoft Financials
    • SharePoint
  • Monitors, reviews, and assists in correcting errors in the following internal and external accounting interfaces between the following:
    • Bank of New York / Melon (BNYM)
    • Eagle Investment Systems
    • Finance Investment Accounting
    • PeopleSoft Financials
    • Other interfaces as required
  • Provides technical supports to the Investment Accounting section in the Finance Division in preparing reports in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Crystal Reports, Tableau, and SharePoint
  • Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures for maintaining Investment Accounting software and reports
  • Performs accounting tasks including running daily and monthly Accounts Receivable jobs and reports.
  • Performs year-end account maintenance; setting up user accounts, and monitoring Finance projects in the Information Systems queue.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Your application for employment must reflect how you meet each of the following minimum qualifications:

  1. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, information systems, or business-related field. Each year of related experience can substitute for one year of college credit (30 hours) with a maximum substitution of four years.
  2. Five (5) years of full time accounting, financial analysis, or information systems experience.
  3. Five (5) years’ experience with word processing, spreadsheet, Business Intelligence and reporting software.
