Texas Historical Commission
This position serves as the Texas Historical Commission’s Information Resources Manager and leads the agency’s information technology operations. The position reports directly to the Deputy Executive Director of Administration and is responsible for managing and supporting the day to day operations of the information resources department of the agency. Responsibilities include infrastructure server support, applications development and maintenance, information security, telecommunications and network support. This position serves as the Information Resource Manager (IRM) as defined in state statutes and regulations, and is heavily involved in establishing the strategic plan, goals and objectives; developing policies; establishing priorities; coordinating and evaluating program activities; and developing operating and capital IT budgets. The position works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
