Performs advanced (senior-level) and complex strategic planning, program development, management, and administration of all Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) fiscal operations and financial services. Work involves serving as the Chief Financial Officer for TSBP; providing direction and oversight to the Financial Services Team; assisting the Executive Director and Director of Operations with providing direction and oversight to the fiscal operations of the agency; participating in the planning, developing, and implementing short and long-term strategies, goals and objectives for fiscal operations; and prepares the agency’s legislative appropriation requests (LAR), Annual Financial Report (AFR), and operating budget.

Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment within the limits of the agency policies and procedures. Reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with the General Counsel, Director of Operations, and HR Program Supervisor.

Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of financial services staff.
