The Office of the Governor is looking for an experienced Benefits & Leave Coordinator (Human Resources Specialist III-IV) to work in the Human Resources Division.

What You’ll Do
This is a job that performs human resources management work involving employee benefits, leave administration, and policy and procedures.
What You’ll Earn
The salary is $4,583.34 – $5,416.67 a month ($55,000.08 – $65,000.04 a year).

What You Need to Get Hired
- Three (3) to four (4) years of experience in human resources administration or a related staff services function (i.e., benefits administration, leave accounting, employee relations, and policies and procedures).
- Experience working with employee benefits and leave administration.
- Experience administering Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Sick/Family Leave Pool and Sick/Family Leave Donations programs.
- Proven ability to provide advice and counsel to employees and management on issues, rules, and policies related to benefits, timekeeping, and other human resources management programs.
- Proven ability to handle complex issues and develops solutions by following procedures and applying policy.
Other Things We’ll be Looking For
- Experience in planning, developing, revising, and implementing human resources policies, procedures, and forms.
- Experience working with Centralized Accounting and Personnel/Payroll System (CAPPS) and Employee Retirement System (ERS) Online.
- Experience with planning, designing, and conducting human resources training.

Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis. Salary and position level will be based on experience and demonstrated skills.
Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification may substitute for two (2) years of experience; or
A Human Resources Certificate from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE) may substitute for one (1) year of experience.
