The Staff Accountant is selected by and responsible to the Deputy Director of Financial Services and performs complex accounting work. The Staff Accountant is cross­ functional, working with the agency’s expenditures and revenues to prepare financial analyses and reports; maintaining accounting records and procedures; and supporting reconciliation and reporting functions. May train others. Work is performed under general supervision with moderate latitude for use of independent judgment. The Staff Accountant may perform other duties as assigned or necessary to carry out the functions of the Financial Services Division.
