Accountant – Austin, Texas

The Office of the Governor is looking for an Accountant (Accountant III) to work in the Financial Services Division.

What You’ll Earn

The salary is $4,166.67 – $4,750.00 a month ($50,000.04 – $57,000.00 a year).

What You’ll Do

This is a job that supports all accounting functions performed within the Financial Services Division.

  • Prepares billing invoices, deposit vouchers, and reconciliations.
  • Prepares and enters transaction entries into multiple accounting systems.
  • Codes and prepares entries for receipt of funds in the State accounting system and the agency’s internal systems.
  • Maintains accounts receivable open file, monitors for delinquent billings, and invoices for overdue payments per agency policy.
  • Assists in the compilation of financial reports.
  • Communicates efficiently with internal and external parties.

How You’ll Qualify                                       

Three (3) years of accounting experience, including experience using the Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS) and the Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS).

You’re a Great Fit with

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
