Performs advanced (senior-level) managerial work providing direction and guidance in strategic operations, planning of the agency’s information technology and information resources, and implementing related innovations and continuous improvement opportunities to increase understanding and efficiencies. Work involves the management of the agency’s servers, licensing system, LAN/WAN system, website, cybersecurity and information security posture, and all internal/external system interfaces.

Performs advanced management of the following agency business activities: risk management (including risk assessment, business continuity, management and retention of electronic records, emergency preparedness); developing policies for executive approval; reviewing and operationalizing guidelines, procedures, rules, and regulations; establishing priorities, standards, and measurement tools for determining progress in meeting goals; coordinating and evaluating program activities; recommending and implementing appropriate action to resolve problems; and reviewing and approving the information resources budget.

Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of IT staff.

Work is performed under the general direction of the Executive Director with extensive latitude to exercise initiative and independent judgment within the limits of agency and team policies and procedures.
