The Sr. Classification Analyst (Senior Compensation and Classification Analyst) plays a key role in supporting the statewide classification and compensation system that guides human resources policies across Texas state agencies. This position leads large-scale compensation and classification projects and contributes to key legislative reports that inform workforce decisions at the state level. You will lead classification reviews, develop and analyze job descriptions, and analyze salary and workforce data to support oversight and reporting.
This position involves collaboration with agency executives and HR professionals to promote understanding and application of statewide classification and compensation practices, ensuring consistency with state policy and data integrity in reporting.
Ideal candidates bring strong Excel skills, experience in compensation or job evaluation, and a passion for public service through workforce research and policy support. Strong writing and communication skills are also essential, as the role involves drafting reports, preparing legislative summaries, and clearly presenting complex data to varied audiences.
