Position Description
The Financial Reporting Accountant II reports to the Financial Reporting Manager and performs professional-level accounting work. Major job duties of this role include the preparation of annual financial reports and the reconciliation of accounts to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the Department’s accounting data. This position requires interaction with auditors, governmental agencies and private entities. Employees at this level establish their own work plans and priorities to meet objectives. Issues are typically resolved independently and are rarely referred to a supervisor. Essential Duties:
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or finance-related discipline. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications Experience: 2 years accounting related work. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis. Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
