Program Coordinator – Austin, Texas

The Office of the Governor is looking for a Program Coordinator (Program Specialist III) to work in the Public Safety Office – Sexual Assault Survivors’ Task Force.

What You’ll Earn

The salary is $5,083.34 – $5,583.34 a month ($61,000.08 – 67,000.08 a year).

What You’ll Do

This position performs complex (journey-level) consultative services and technical assistance work.  The focus of this position is providing support and coordination for the SASTF. Work involves coordinating meetings, disseminating information to various parties including members, frequent contact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, and performing other internal support work.

  • Coordinates SASTF meetings, including Steering Committee meetings, and other meetings as required.
  • Coordinates, prepares, edits, and distributes meeting materials, meeting minutes, meeting correspondence, and other documents.
  • Maintains and updates program documents including membership lists, timelines, reports, summaries, policies and procedures, and training and operating manuals.
  • Compiles and edits data for charts, graphs, and databases.
  • Assists in analyzing data and supports preparation of data summaries and reports.
  • Ensures that SASTF website and online resource directory content is comprehensive and up to date.
  • Assists with preparation of periodic and special reports and ensures that deadlines are met.
  • Assists with research and editing of agency publications such as brochures, forms, manuals, and reports.
  • Manages and maintains schedules.
  • Prepares and compiles presentation and training materials.
  • May respond to general inquiries regarding SASTF activities.

How You’ll Qualify

  • High school graduate or equivalent; and
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in administrative assistance, support, and coordination.

Note: Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.

You’re a Great Fit with

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in government, criminal justice programs, business, or a related field; and
  • Experience in the field of criminal justice, victim advocacy, or crime victim rights.
