About

Our Story

Purpose

The Texas State Agency Business Administrators’ Association (TSABAA) was founded in 1969 to collaborate on mutual goals and objectives for more effectively carrying out the state’s business administrative functions. TSABAA provides a platform for issues affecting the business operations of the Texas state government.

Objectives

  • Promote the highest standards of ethics and efficiency in the conduct of state business affairs.
  • Provide forums for the exchange of ideas, concerns and information.
  • Identify and analyze statewide concerns on fiscal issues.
  • Encourage and foster professional working relationships and camaraderie with counterparts of other agencies.

Learning

TSABAA fosters learning and continuing education by providing professional training, bimonthly meetings and mid-winter and summer conferences. Meeting and conference attendees earn valuable continuing professional education (CPE) credit, and networking opportunities with peers

Leadership

TSABAA is led by a team of officers who volunteer their time to serve the membership.

Officer positions include President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Past President.

Comprised of Past Presidents, the Nomination Committee presents a slate of officers to the membership at the annual summer conference. Nominations are also accepted from the floor. Upon a vote by the agency representative of each member agency, the officers are elected to serve one-year terms.
